This nightly does not contain much public-facing feature work, but it does contain a significant amount of internal work, catching up on parity across different language sdks, a lot of technical debt cleanup. It also adds a clean-install option to the macOS installer package.
Breaking change
- This version contains breaking changes. If you are updating from an older build and hit incompatible or corrupted prior state, use the clean-install option in the installer.
Fixed
- The website PKG now offers an optional clean-install path during installation for cases where an older app state, container state, or cached runtime state needs to be cleared before installing the new build.
- If selected, the installer clears prior MachineFabric user data before installing the app, including app containers, group containers, preferences, caches, saved state, logs, installed cartridges, MachineFabric keychain entries, and MachineFabric privacy permissions.
- The reset path is bundled with the installer itself rather than relying on internal developer tooling, so the package can perform the cleanup directly as part of install.
Notes
- Use the clean-install option only when you specifically want to reset prior MachineFabric state on the Mac before installing this version.
- The main focus of this build is install/reset correctness for recovery from incompatible or corrupted prior state.
