Nightly update: model management and curated model sets

This nightly makes the model experience in MachineFabric a lot more direct. The app now treats downloaded models as a live managed state with progress and cancellation, while curated model sets give users a more intuitive starting point for choosing the right model.

What changed

  • The Models view now focuses on the models actually tracked by the engine. It shows download state, progress, failures, and ready state live, and it updates while the view stays open instead of requiring a navigation away and back.
  • Downloaded models can be forgotten directly from the Models view. Cancelling a running download now stops the download and removes the model cleanly instead of leaving stale state behind.
  • The model selection flow now starts with curated model sets before the manual model search step. That makes the first choice easier for end users who do not want to think in terms of raw model specs.
  • Curated model sets are now presented as live recommendations rather than static lists. They are sourced from the model registry and map directly to the models MachineFabric recommends for each capability slot.
  • A new curated models page was added to the website so the same sets can be browsed outside the app.

Notes

  • This is a nightly build intended for testing and feedback.
  • The main focus of this build is model UX, state visibility, and making model selection feel more obvious for end users.
